1R: Wisdom 18:6-9. Our (fore)fathers rejoiced when You God punished our enemies and thus glorified them.
RP: 32 or 33: Happy are the people the Lord has chosen as His own.
2R: Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-19, or 11:1-2, 8-12. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was to go. By faith Sarah herself received the power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
G: Luke 12:32-48. This is about:
1. Sell your belongings and give alms…. Inexhaustible treasure in heaven…. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
2. Be like servants who await their master’s return, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Be prepared.
3. Be prepared, especially if you’re in charge! Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.
