Hello… Kumusta naman po ang inyong linggo? Sa akin, okay lang naman at may pagsubok na dumating sa buhay ko ngayon. Nasangkot ako sa isang problema sa eskwelahan which is nahusgahan ako ng aking kapwa. Pero taas-noo akong humarap sa kanila taliwas sa mga batikos at tsismis nila laban sa akin dahil sa sigurado ako sa aking sarili na hindi ako GUILTY! Naalala ko tuloy ang isang berso sa Biblia na nagsasabing: “Kung paano mo hinusgahan ang iyong kapwa, sa ganung paraan ka rin huhusgahan ng langit”.

Sa ating mga babasahin ngayong linggo, it talks about a feast. Sa unang pagbasa, Jesus prepared a feast for us. This is for our salvation. And the Responsorial Psalm talks about sa pagiging mabuting bantay niya sa atin. Sa ikalawang pagbasa naman, Paul shares his experience and expresses how thankful he was sa mga tao sa Filipos for sharing their blessings to him. At sabi niya karapat-dapat nating purihin ang DIOS magpakailanman. At ang ebanghelyo naman ay tumutukoy sa pag-anyaya o pagtawag ng DIOS sa atin sa panenerbisyo o pagsunod sa kanya pero iilan lamang sumagot sa tawag na iyon. Gaya nga ng sabi ng isang kanta sa Cebuano “Dili sayon ang pagsunod ni Kristo” (Hindi madali ang pagsunod kay Kristo). Talagang mahirap. Oo nga, may iba na sumagot sa tawag ng DIOS pero pagdating ng pagsubok, sumusuko agad. Ganun na lang ba talaga karupok ang ating paniniwala?

Pagnilayan natin mga kapatid kong Kristiano ang nais iparating ng DIOS sa atin ngayong sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig o pagbasa sa mga teksto sa Banal na Kasulatan para ngayong linggo. Heto na po ang mga suhestiyon kong kanta para ngayong linggo…

Gospel:

Matthew 22:1-14 (or Matthew 22:1-10 lang):

Parable of the Wedding. It was arranged by the king. It was for His Son. But the invited guests refused to come. So the king sent his servants to invite them again. They ignored the invitation; some even killed the servant-messengers. The king told the remaining servants to destroy those murderers. The king also instructed the remaining servants to invite everyone else they can find. 
A side vignette: About the guest who wasn’t wearing a proper wedding garment. The king ordered that that guest be thrown into the dark where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
