24^th Sunday of Ordinary Time – Year A

Magandang araw kapatid… Kumusta naman ang araw natin? Maganda ba? Maayos ba? Ang ating ebanghelyo para sa darating na linggo ay tungkol sa “Pagpapatawad”. Ito ‘yung pinakamahirap na gawin nating mga tao sa ating kapwa… Madali ngang sabihin na “sorry” “napatawad na kita o I forgive you na” pero alam naman natin na deep inside ay may gitgit at poot pa rin tayong naramdaman sa ating kapwa. Sa ganun, hindi pa rin talaga natin siya lubusang napatawad. Naks, tinamaan ako.

Kasi ganito ‘yun. Hindi naman talaga kami magkagalit ng isa kong kaibigan. Hindi ko lang siya kinikibo kasi pag kinikibo ko siya at close kami inaabuso naman niya ang aking kabaitan. So I prefer na kibuin ko na lang siya ng kaswal at magkausap ng parang may gap ng kunti o limitation kasi for this hindi naman niya ako aabusuhin…. Sa tingin n’yo tama ba ginagawa ko.

Hello po.. How’s your long weekend vacation? Ano bang pinagkakaabalhan mo? First Reading:

Ezekiel 33:7-9.

Ezekiel is appointed as a watchman. He should instruct people, and correct them, lest they be punished, or worse, executed. If Ezekiel does not correct them, and that erring person is executed, Ezekiel would be held responsible for the death. If he had corrected the erring person, Ezekiel is saved from the responsibility.

Second Reading

Romans 13:8-10.

The Commandments can be summarized: Love your neighbor as yourself. To love is to obey the whole law.
