4th Sunday of Advent - Year C - December 22, 2024

Merry Christmas po sa lahat. Namamasko po 😊

The 4th Sunday of Advent Year C prepares us for the coming of Jesus. The readings highlight important themes for our reflection. Create your own line-up of songs by using these themes:
  • God’s Promise: God promises to send a ruler from Bethlehem. This promise shows God’s faithfulness.
  • Humble Beginnings: Jesus is born in Bethlehem, a small town. This shows that God often works through humble beginnings.
  • Obedience to God: Jesus came to do God’s will. He shows us the importance of obeying God.
  • Joyful Expectation: Mary visits Elizabeth, and they rejoice. This reminds us to be joyful as we wait for Jesus.
  • Blessed Among Women: Elizabeth calls Mary blessed. Mary is blessed because she believed God’s word.
  • Jesus’ Sacrifice: Jesus offers His body for our sins. This shows His great love for us.
Reflecting on these themes for the 4th Sunday of Advent Year C helps us understand the readings better. They guide us in our preparation for Christmas.

Christ the King Sunday - Year B - November 24, 2024

Thanks for your love and support.

The Solemnity of Christ the King Year B reminds us of the kingship of Jesus and His authority over all. This feast invites us to reflect on Jesus’ role as our leader and savior. These are our theme for you to consider also what songs you need to add to your line-up:

  • Jesus as King: Jesus is the King who has all power and authority, as shown in Daniel 7:13-14. He rules over all nations and people forever.
  • Eternal Kingdom: Jesus’ kingdom is eternal, unlike earthly kingdoms. Revelation 1:5-8 tells us His rule will never end.
  • Truth of Jesus: Jesus came to bear witness to the truth, as He says in John 18:33B-37. His truth guides us and sets us free.
  • Jesus’ Sacrifice: Jesus, the faithful witness, loves us and freed us from sin by His blood (Revelation 1:5). His sacrifice shows His kingship through service.
  • Hope in Christ: The readings give us hope in Christ’s ultimate victory. His kingdom brings peace and justice.
  • Universal Reign: Jesus’ reign is for everyone, as seen in Daniel 7:14. His kingdom includes all people, nations, and languages.
  • Christ’s Witness: Jesus’ role as a witness to the truth is central in John 18:37. This shows His authority and purpose.
Reflecting on these themes helps us understand Jesus’ kingship and its importance in our lives. The Solemnity of Christ the King Year B calls us to recognize and honor Jesus as our King and Savior.

·       Honoring Mary: Singing Marian hymns is a way of honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is revered as the Mother of God in the Catholic Church. Her role in salvation history is significant, and many Catholics find solace and inspiration in her intercession.

28th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - October 13, 2024

The 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B readings focus on the wisdom of God and the challenge of following Jesus. The messages encourage believers to seek God’s wisdom and prioritize spiritual wealth over material wealth.
  • Value of Wisdom: The first reading shows how King Solomon prayed for wisdom and valued it above all riches. This teaches us to seek God’s wisdom, which is more precious than any material wealth.
  • Living Word of God: The second reading from Hebrews reminds us that God’s word is alive and powerful. It can judge our thoughts and desires, urging us to live according to God’s teachings.
  • Detachment from Riches: In the Gospel, Jesus tells the rich young man to sell all he has and follow Him. This shows the challenge of letting go of earthly possessions to fully commit to Jesus.
  • Following Jesus: Jesus’ call to the rich young man is a reminder for all of us to follow Him without reservation. It emphasizes the importance of prioritizing our relationship with Jesus over anything else.
  • Eternal Life: The rich young man asks Jesus how to inherit eternal life. Jesus’ response teaches that eternal life is a gift from God that requires faith and dedication to His commandments.
  • God’s Impossible Made Possible: Jesus tells His disciples that it is hard for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God, but nothing is impossible with God. This reassures us that God can help us overcome any obstacles in our spiritual journey.
The readings for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B encourage us to seek God’s wisdom and prioritize our spiritual journey. By following Jesus and trusting in God’s power, we can overcome the challenges of earthly attachments and strive for eternal life.

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - September 22, 2024

When you ask for a line-up of songs for Sunday Mass, please be polite and courteous.

On the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B, we reflect on themes of humility, service, and the Christian life. The readings guide us to consider how we live out our faith in practical ways.
  • True Wisdom: The first reading shows the difference between earthly and heavenly wisdom. Earthly wisdom brings envy and selfish ambition, while heavenly wisdom brings peace and righteousness.
  • Humility in Service: Jesus teaches the disciples about greatness through serving others. He places a child before them, showing that serving the least among us is the path to true greatness.
  • Righteous Suffering: The first reading from Wisdom highlights how the righteous suffer at the hands of the wicked. It reminds us that following God may bring trials, but we must stay faithful.
  • Peaceful Living: The second reading from James calls for peace and purity. It warns against jealousy and selfishness, urging us to seek peace and good deeds.
  • Childlike Faith: Jesus’ example of welcoming a child teaches us about humility and trust. We are called to have faith like children, trusting God completely and welcoming others with love.
  • Selfless Love: The Gospel challenges us to put others first. By serving and loving others selflessly, we follow Christ’s example and live out our faith.
  • Avoiding Conflicts: James explains that conflicts come from selfish desires. By submitting to God and seeking His wisdom, we can avoid unnecessary strife and live in harmony.
These themes for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B encourage us to live humbly and serve others, reflecting Christ’s love in our actions. As we reflect on these readings, let us commit to living out these values in our daily lives.

23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - September 8, 2024

Pasensya na po na nahuli ng update. Naubusan lang ng load.

The 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B readings highlight God’s healing and justice. They remind us of God’s care for the needy and the importance of treating everyone equally.
  • God’s Promise of Healing: God promises to deliver and heal, turning barren landscapes into flourishing life. This is seen in Isaiah where God transforms the dry land into streams of water.
  • Justice for the Poor: James emphasizes that favoritism based on wealth is against Christian faith. God honors the poor in spirit, promising them His kingdom.
  • Jesus’ Healing Power: Jesus heals a deaf man with a speech problem. This miracle shows Jesus’ compassion and power to heal.
  • Equality in Faith: James warns against treating people differently because of their wealth. True faith means treating everyone equally, as God does.
  • God’s Care for the Needy: Isaiah’s prophecy shows God caring for the afflicted. He brings joy and healing to those who suffer.
  • Faith in Action: The readings call us to act on our faith. This means helping those in need and not showing favoritism.
These themes remind us of God’s love and care for all people, especially the poor and needy. They call us to live our faith by treating everyone with equality and compassion.
